Please Hear My Cry.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made,
That is what God said,
I have ten little fingers and ten little toes,
A full head of hair and a little button nose,
As I rest in amniotic bliss,
I dream of my mothers kiss,
Nine months have passed and I am fully grown,
My bubble must burst into a life unknown,
But as the time draws near I have feelings of fear;
Will there be pain?
Will my mother labour in vain?
Will I breathe, will I suckle?
Will I be warm or will I shiver?
Who will help my mother deliver?
For all those who hear,
Please make my path clear,
So that I can survive and have a mother who’s alive.
Please hear my cry,
I do not want to die,
Promise me that all will be well,
So that I too, like you,
Can have a story to tell!
