Israel has been deporting Africans from the country under a tight anti-immigration programme that started early this year.
At least 37,000 Africans have sought asylum in Israel, but have now been accused of coming to seek work. Some sections have gone to the extent of referring to them as infiltrators who must be taken back to their country.
In a recent video that has surfaced online, an Israeli MP, Oren Hazan, tries to explain the country’s policy on deporting immigrants.
He says, “Now they are getting married, they bring kids…we’ll stop this…Instead of learning from us…they want to take our life. They don’t even have a culture.”
Here’s the video.
Israeli MP explains Netanyahu's policy on African refugees: "those people that came from the black lands… now they're getting married, they bring kids [into the world]. We'll stop this… They don't even have a culture… You need to destroy the problem when it's still small." pic.twitter.com/SFN1CHFcoq
